MacEwan Conference and Event Centre is open, and we can’t wait to see you!
Updated December 6, 2021
We are opting into the new Alberta Restrictions Exemption Program. This means that to attend an event at MacEwan Conference and Event Centre, you will need both;
- a mask, and;
- proof of full vaccination (double vaccinated, and your last vaccination shot must be a minimum of 14 days before the event.). We will only accept the scannable Alberta Government QR Code which must be readable/verified by the AB Covid Records Verifier. Out of province guests must provide proof of full vaccination and will be verified using their province’s vaccine scanning app.
On January 1st, 2022 all visitors and guests who attend and event at the University of Calgary facilities are required to be fully vaccinated per the University of Calgary Covid safe campus policy, this includes the facilities and MacEwan Conference and Event Centre. If a person cannot vaccinate for medical reasons, a privately paid negative Covid-19 diagnostic PCR or rapid antigen test taken by the attendee no more than 72 hours before arriving at the venue may be substituted for entry only with a valid medical exemption letter from a medical practitioner is presented as well. (Medical exemption documents are required for a negative Covid-19 test to be accepted for entry after January 1st.).
In all cases, your name and birthdate must be clear and visible, and match your government issued photo identification. Please note: no information will be scanned, stored, or shared. Apps may take several weeks to upload your immunization records, so please ensure that your chosen method is ready to use before you arrive.
Masks must be worn in indoor settings in compliance with the Province of Alberta’s requirement to mask effective September 4, 2021.
